DROPS(2008)

Program Notes

This piece was composed for the cycle “drops of water” that took place in the Agbar Museum of Water (Barcelona) in the spring of 2008. It was a cycle of 3 concerts with pieces in different formats inspired by the theme of water, a subject that has been of interest to many composers from different perspectives. This piece begins evoking light, fine droplets of water that comprise the first element of this fantasy. Later on, different themes appear that combine with the initial element throughout this piece which is never static and always conveys a sense of fluidity.
