Premieres in Washington D.C. and in NY

In just 2 days, I had the opportunity to see 2 of my new works premiered. The first one, in Washington D.C. in the filmfest, a score for a silent Catalan FIlm Gent i Paissatge de Catalunya ("People and Landscapes from Catalonia"), so from my country.It was a really nice preimere, in a score that I created with 3 more composers, Elias Constantopedos, Shruti Kumar and DOsia McKay. In the concert 2 other short films were shown with music by Inyoung Park and Mira Eom. It was conducted by Gilian Anderson.Here, the beginning:[flashvideo file="http://web.sergicasanelles.com/media/movies/Gent_i_Paissatge.flv" /]We are happy that the public really liked the score and to be able to have a chance at the end to talk about how we created the score.

The other premiere was on Monday April 26th, with the NYU Symphony Orchestra and David Wroe as a conductor. They premiered my new orchestra piece, Masques, 4 faces of the modern man, for orchestra.

They did, both orchestra and conductor, an amazing job performing the piece and I'm sure that I will be able to sure a really very good recording of it. Thanks them for their work!
